Mary Pitre

VILLE PLATTE- A Memorial Mass was held at Our Lady Queen of All Saints on Monday, August 11, 2008 for Mary Mae Fontenot Pitre, 79, who passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, August 09, 2008. Father Mario Romero was officiating. Marys last act of generosity was to donate her body to Medical Science.

Marys husband, children, family and friends were her life. Those of us, who have been blessed to have known her, loved her, laughed with her, and cried with her will cherish every moment of every day of every year that God has allowed us to share with her. We were grateful for the gift she will forever be to us. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Maurice Pitre of Ville Platte, four children, Chris Pitre and his wife, Hedy of Eunice, Carmen Moran of Miami, Florida, Steve Pitre and his wife, Cindy of Lake Charles and Liz Pitre of Ville Platte; five siblings, Herman Boy Fontenot of Scott, Dick Fontenot and Ann Lafleur both of Ville Platte, Robley Fontenot of Dallas, Texas and Mona Moran of Port Barre; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Her son, Carlos Pitre, preceded her in death.
