Ville Platte Funeral services for Mary Nazel Oliver, 70, will be held at 11am Friday, August 8, 2008 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Ms. Oliver, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at 2:08 pm in Acadian Medical Center. She was an avid wrestling fan and truly enjoyed her coffee.

A loving, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, she is survived by three sons, Mark Oliver of Ville Platte, John Oliver and wife, Debbie of Dixon, Il., and Tim Oliver and wife, Patty of Dixon, Il; four daughters, Terri Hebert and husband, Brad of Ville Platte, Kim Johnson and husband Silton of Eunice, Donna Rhondenbaugh of Dixon, Il, and Connie Sneed and husband, Mike of Dixon, Il; one brother, Ernest Fontenot of Pine Prairie; two sisters, Winnie Deville and husband, Ellis of Ville Platte and Verline Daire of Idaho; twenty three grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Oliver and her parents, Aubin and Elma Daire.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 10am until time of services on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 8pm Thursday.
