Mary Marie Johnson was born to Diane Guillory and Jimmy Louis Johnson, Sr. in Eunice, Louisiana on July 15, 1974. Some might consider her life short but we cannot judge a song by its duration nor by the numbers of its notes. We can judge it instead by the way it touches and lifts our soul just as Mary uplifted all those she came in contact with. Mary loved to write in her journals about her life and the adventures she had. She was a very intelligent lady who enjoyed solving complex math problems. She felt that reading and writing were keys to success and passed that on as she read to her grandchildren. Watching old country movies brought relaxation and joy to Mary's life.

A superbly amazing daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother, Mary will be dearly missed by her mother, Diane Guillory Johnson, sons William "Billy" Landreneau and Cody Hubbard and daughters Shelly Friou and Kimberly Bernard. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters Rebecca Bordelon and Susan King, grandchildren Abygail Lemaire and Heather Covington, and nieces, Alexis King, and Allison, Morgan, and Katelynn Bordelon. They will have many treasured memories to share with her grandchild that is on the way.

She now reunites with her father Jimmy Louis Johnson, Sr. and her brother Jimmy Louis Johnson, Jr.

Mary will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved this wonderful lady, but we can rest assured she now is resting in the arms of Jesus.

A celebration of Mary's life will take place at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Continuing on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery.
