ST. LANDRY – Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, for Mark Bernard Siffert, 58, who passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in Lafayette, LA surrounded by his loving family.
Father Kenneth Mayne, Pastor of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass.
Mark Bernard Siffert was born on April 13, 1962 in Ville Platte, LA to Vernon Siffert and Neva Guillory Siffert. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether he was hunting or fishing. He especially enjoyed duck hunting. Mark had a green thumb and loved working in his garden and riding on his tractor. He enjoyed watching Westerns and Indy Car Races on Sunday’s. His family and friends meant the world to him and he loved spending time with them. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those that knew him.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Tina Daire Siffert; sons, Brad Joseph Siffert and wife Amanda of Belaire Cove and Matthew Vernon Siffert and wife Jenae of Arnaudville; four grandchildren, D.J. Daire, Emma Siffert, Landon Siffert, and Kye Siffert; sister, Anna Moran of St. Landry; and brother, Jacques Siffert of Metairie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Siffert and Neva Guillory Siffert; stepson, Derek Daire; and brother, Philip A. Siffert.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
