VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Lafleur announces her passing on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.
A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Marie will lovingly remembered by two sons Joseph Michael LaFleur and wife Charlene of Ville Platte and John Allen LaFleur II of Washington two daughters, Brenda Soileau and husband Harold of Ville Platte and Shirlene OConnor and husband Gurvis of Ville Platte two grandchildren, Erica Herrington and husband Ben and James Jim OConner Jr. and one great grandchild, Kaylie Herrington. Marie also leaves behind three brothers, Vernell Ardoin of Ville Platte, Leonard Ardoin of Ville Platte and Floyd Ardoin of Carencro and one sister Lois Ardoin Tooley of Texas.
She now joins in Heaven her husband John Allen LaFleur and her parents Alfred and Lena Ardoin.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, April 11, 2011 from 1:30 PM until 10 PM, a Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 6 PM. Ardoins will reopen at 8 AM Tuesday until time of services.
