Ville Platte Funeral services for Marie Eve Fontenot, 81, will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery. Fr. Joshua Guillory will officiate the services.

Mrs. Fontenot, died Monday, January 12, 2009 in Ville Platte Medical Center.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and sister, she is survived by four sons, Al Terry and wife, Pat Fontenot of Opelousas, Norbert D. and wife, RebeccaT. Fontenot of Ville Platte; Jimmy K. and wife, Bernadette Fontenot of Ville Platte; and Eddie L. and wife, Mary M. Fontenot of Tyler, Tx.; one sister, Lelma Guillory of Ville Platte; ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard P.Z. Fontenot and her parents, Paul D. and Melia Ardoin.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Wednesday 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
