aligncenter Ville Platte - Funeral services for Mr. Malcolm Co-Con Ortego, 61 will be held Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 12 PM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte, La. Fr. Josh Guillory will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery in Ville Platte.

Mr. Ortego, a resident of Ville Platte, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Ville Platte Medical Center. He was a third degree knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 1754. Mr. Ortego was a former employee of Earls Tire Center in Ville Platte.

A loving husband and step-father and son, he is survived by his wife, Linda Leonard Ortego of Ville Platte; two step-sons, Wayne DeHart and wife, Tayna and Stephan Dehart and wife Debbie both of Houma, two step- daughters, Sue Blanchard of Houma and Danielle Fontenot and husband Bobby of Ville Platte, his mother, Lydia Ortego, one brother Mark Ortego and wife Angie of Ville Platte, two sisters Dorothy Bellard and husband Floyd of Ville Platte and Linda Boutte and husband Keith of Mamou, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Malcolm TeMel Ortego.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 10 AM until 10 PM and again on Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 8 AM until time of service. A rosary will be said Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 6 PM.
