VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mackie "Coochie" Nell Johnson Ardoin, 76, announces her passing on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Church of Christ in Turkey Creek. Burial will follow in the Addison Johnson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot with Br. Jamie Roberts officiating services.
At the request of the family, a visitation will take place at Church of Christ on Monday, May 9 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Tuesday, May 10 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mackie will be greatly missed by her sons Larry Ledoux and wife Audrey of Bunkie and Steve Johnson and wife Jill of New Iberia and her daughters Vickie Johnston and husband Ben of Shreveport and Sandra McMurray and Clyde Gauthier of Bayou Chicot. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her nine grandchildren: Larry Bryant Ledoux, Toni Ortego, Joshua Ledoux, Curry Ledoux, Jared Johnston, Zachary and Aaron Johnson, Richard McMurray, Jr., and Jamie McMurray and also her seven great grandchildren.
She now rests with her parents Stafford and Blanch Johnson, her brothers Elvin and Wardie Johnson, and her sister Pansy Clark.
