Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Estelle Fontenot, 95, announces her passing on Tuesday, January 01, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center of Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 03, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. the service will be held at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. Joshua Guillory officiating.
A devoted mother, grandmother and friend, Estelle leaves behind her two loving daughters: Diana Dupre and Debra Dupre, both of Grand Prairie. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren they were truly the light of her life. She will be deeply missed by her dear friends she was a kind and loving soul to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
She will now join in Heaven her husband, Rufus D. Fontenot, her parents, Alcide and Emily Johnson, a daughter, Delores Soileau and two grandsons, Mark Soileau and Chad Soileau. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Fontenot family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2013 until 10:00 PM that evening and continuing Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 8:00 AM to the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in her memory at 6:00 PM Wednesday evening.
