Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Lynch Sylvester, 86 announces his passing on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie at 10:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington with Fr. Mark Melancon Celebrant.
A loving brother and uncle, Lynch will be lovingly remembered by two brothers, Blaine Sylvester and wife, Lourie of Grand Prairie and Bobby Sylvester of Washington one sister, Allie Jones of New Orleans sisterinlaw, Susan Sylvester of Washington four nieces, Diana Lafleur, Maureen Douglas, and Debbie Lafleur all of Grand Prairie and Jeannie Jones of New Orleans and two nephews, Lonnie Jones of New Orleans and Anthony Sylvester of Washington.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
