Ville Platte A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10am Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte, Luta Highfill, 91, who passed away at 11:10am Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Ville Platte Medical Center.
The Rev. Randall Moreau, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of All Saints will be the Celebrant with the Rite of Committal to follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Fontenot and husband, Clifford of Ville Platte and Dean Ryder and husband, Burley of Lake Charles; four sisters, Evelyn Rutledge of Mamou, Love Veillon of Mamou, Audrey Lejeune of Westlake, and Jane Manuel of Ville Platte; eleven grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Mavis Followay; her parents, Araste and Helen Guillory; three sisters, Minnie Rutterford, Valine Soileau, and Amy Manuel; and three brothers, Felton Guillory, Nat Guillory, and Burke Guillory.
The family requested that visitation hours be observed from 3pm until 10pm Wednesday and will continue from 8am until time of services Thursday with a Rosary to be recited at 6pm Wednesday.
