VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Lucia Ann Borne Griffin, 56, announces her passing on Monday, June 24, 2013. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte with Brother Jerry Griffin officiating services.
A loving wife, daughterinlaw, sister, and niece, Lucia will be dearly missed by her husband Carl Griffin of St. Landry, motherinlaw Dorita Dardar of Cutoff, two brothers TJohn Borne and wife Gladys Ann of Anahuac, Texas and Jade Borne and John Dobbins of Dallas, Texas, two sisters Robin Ray and husband Lester and Anna Hulsey and husband Richard both of Anahuac, Texas, special aunt and uncle BoBoy and Peggy Borne of Cutoff, and aunts Bertha Griffin of Cutoff and Bernice Doucet of Golden Meadows. Her memory will also be cherished by a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and other loved ones and friends.
Lucia is preceded in death by her parents Johnny A. Borne, Jr. and Beatrice T. Rogers, and two aunts Rose Bruce and Louanna Strickland.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 9:00 am until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucia Griffins name to the charity of your choice.
