Ville Platte Funeral services for Mrs. Lois G. Monier, 99, will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 11am in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Te Mamou Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mrs. Monier, a resident of Ville Platte, died Monday, May 7, 2007 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.

Survivors include one son, Joseph R. Monier and wife, Sandra of Ville Platte; one daughter, Ethelyn M. Coreil, and husband Jacques of Ville Platte; one brother Edward Guillory of Ville Platte; two grandchildren, Dr. Charles Scott Monier and Katra Monier Morrison; and five great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darcenus Monier; a son, Sylvan Monier; grandson, Todd Monier; sister, Mary G. Soileau; and a brother, Quillea Guillory.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007 from 2pm-9pm and on Wednesday from 7am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6pm Tuesday.
