VILLE PLATTE - Linda Louise Junek, a compassionate soul whose heart overflowed with kindness, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the age of 67.
Linda devoted over 30 years to serve others as a dedicated nurse, where she touched the lives of countless individuals with her care and empathy. She exemplified the true essence of compassion and love. Her unwavering commitment to her patients reflected her innate ability to always put others before herself. Colleagues and friends will remember her as a beacon of light in their darkest days, providing comfort and support with a gentle smile and soothing words.
Beyond her professional life, Linda's warmth extended to all aspects of her being. Her family and friends held a special place in her heart, and she loved them unconditionally, especially her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her affection for animals was evident to all who knew her. She found joy and solace caring for these furry companions and had quite the menagerie through the years.
Linda's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her beloved two daughters, Christine Napolitano and husband, Salvador of Lake Charles, and Candis Voorhies and husband, Jonathon of Pineville; her grandchildren, Hayden, Kenadie, Cannon, and Gatling; and lifelong best friends Kathy Miller, Rhonda Perrone, and Peggy Credeur.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Morton and Patricia Berney; brother, Charles McNicol, Jr.; and grandparents who raised her, Charles and Helen McNicol, Sr.
