VILLE PLATTE It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lenis Joseph Dupre announces his passing on Wednesday, August 01, 2012 at Mercy Regional Hospital. He was 73. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 03, 2012 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Pastor Kevin West officiating.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Lenis will be greatly missed by his wife of fifty years, Shirley Wedlock Dupre of Ville Platte son, Kent Dupre of Ville Platte daughter, Connie Ann Blanchard and husband, Rodney of Ville Platte two grandchildren, Jason Blanchard and wife, Ashley, and Jonathan Blanchard, all of Ville Platte and three great grandchildren, Brayden, Landon, and Alexis Blanchard, all of Ville Platte. Lenis will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Edward and Ludia Fontenot Dupre sister, Lela Dupre Fontenot and brother, Alvin Dupre.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, August 2nd from 12:00 noon until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, August 3rd from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
