VILLE PLATTE – Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, for Lana Rae Compton, 74, who passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Pastor Daniel Holsomback will be conducting services.

Burial will take place in Vandenburg Cemetery.

She is survived by her mother, Raella Fuselier; daughter, Wendy Compton Soileau and husband, Tim of Ville Platte; son, Jason Compton and wife, Mona of Pine Prairie; eight grandchildren, Dustin Fontenot, Katie Fontenot, Tyler Fontenot, Erin Sylvester, Abby Soileau Thibodeaux, Zachary Soileau, Jacob Compton and Corey Compton; eleven great grandchildren, Marlee Simon, Tripp Matte, Audrey Fontenot, William Fontenot, Kaya Thibodeaux, Merci Thibodeaux, Nico Thibodeaux, Bailie Fontenot, Blair Soileau, Briar Soileau and Olivia Compton; sister, Linda Ardoin and husband, Kent of Ville Platte; two brothers, Ferrol Fuselier and wife, Esperanza of Baton Rouge and Shane Fuselier and wife, Janet of Lochbyie, CO.

She is preceded in death by her father, Kirby Fuselier; husband, Tommy Ray Compton and daughter, Paula Kay Sylvester.

At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte of Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 9:00 AM until time of service.

In Lieu of Flowers donations are being accepted to go toward funeral expenses.
