VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of L.O. Fusilier, 84, announces his passing on April 23, 2011 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Gene Tremie officiating services.
A loving father, grandfather, and brotherinlaw, L. O. will be lovingly remembered by his six children Cynthia F. Person of Ville Platte, Paul Marcus Fusilier and wife Gerry of Lake Charles, Jennifer F. Riddle and husband Brian of Swainsboro, Georgia, Tammy F. Duos and husband Craig of Baton Rouge, John Willis Fusilier and wife Christy of Deridder, and Daniel Louis Fusilier and wife Rachel of Ville Platte, two sistersinlaw Mrs. Dale Belle Fusilier of Ville Platte and Mrs. Joffrie Irene Fusilier of Ville Platte, sixteen grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his lovely wife Theresa Manuel Fusilier, his parents Octave and Ozelma Fusilier, three brothers, and five sisters.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 6:30 PM.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Evangeline Parish Public Library.
The Fusilier family would like to thank Dr. Oscar Rodriguez, Evangeline Home Health and all his caregivers, which he loved, for their dedication and devotion.
