St. Landry It is with great sadness that the family of Karen Sue Martin the former Karen Sue Patin, 51, passed away November 13, 2010. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the St. Landry Baptist Church in St. Landry. Rite of Committal will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Cheneyville.
Karen, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, will be sadly missed by her husband, Randall Martin of Breaux Bridge, her son Dal Roy Earnest and his special companion Anna Chapman of Lafayette, her stepdaughter, Christine Pierret of Lafayette, three grandchildren Grace, Emily, and Benjamin Pierret, one sister Linda Daire and husband John Kerron of St. Landry, two nieces, Roxanne Tidwell and Tina Daire both of St. Landry, two great nephews Harley Montalvo and Hayden Tidwell, one great great nephew D. J. Daire, and her loving pet dog, Suzie.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Doug Earnest, Jr. parents, Hilda and Roy Patin and great nephew Derek Daire.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held Monday, November 15, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and again on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 8:00 AM until time of service at the St. Landry Baptist Church in St. Landry
