Ville Platte Funeral service for Joycie Theresa Lafleur, 80, will be held Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11am in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park. Fr. Randy Moreau will officiate the services.

Mrs. Lafleur, a resident of Ville Platte, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Ville Platte Medical Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Pat Lafleur of Livingston, Tx, Vickie Pierce and husband, Wayne of Lafayette, and Linda Lafleur of Opelousas; three sons, Dwain Lafleur and wife, Ellen of Port Neches, Tx, Tony Lafleur and wife, Cheryl of Vidrine, and Paul Craig Lafleur of Ville Platte; three sisters, Nell Reed of Bunkie, Velma Richard of Opelousas, Priscilla Lafleur of Ville Platte; one sister in law, Glenda Ortego of Quitman, La.; twenty one grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Lafleur; parents, Melvin Ortego and Lorena Fontenot; granddaughter, Amanda Fontenot; and a grandson, Jamie Bannister.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, 2007 from 3pm until 10pm and on Saturday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Friday.
