Ville Platte - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 15, 2017 for Mrs. Joycelyn F. Fuselier at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Tom Voorhies will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.

Mrs. Joycelyn F. Fuselier, age 86 and a resident of Ville Platte, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte from 3:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. It will continue on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mrs. Fuselier was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America and Come, Lord Jesus. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Many will remember her from her 44 years working as the office manager at the local Farm Bureau office. Mrs. Fuselier enjoyed gardening, baking, and sewing and loved caring for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Fontenot and husband Steve; grandchildren, Christy Fusilier and husband John, Robbie Howton, Jeff Fontenot, Brian Howton and wife Amel and Leslie Howton; and great-grandchildren, Alaina Fontenot and Harris Howton.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin Fuselier; parents, Jules and Adele Fontenot; daughter, Debbie Howton; son-in-law, Ron Howton; and brothers, Levie, Clevance and Clifton Fontenot.
