Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Franklin Vidrine, Sr., 73 announces his passing on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at his residence in Ville Platte. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery in Ville Platte. Bro. Kevin West will officiate the services.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather, Franklin will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lassie Jane Fontenot Vidrine of Ville Platte; two sons, Franklin Vidrine, Jr. and wife, Donna of Ville Platte and Chad Vidrine and wife, Julie of Aledo, Tx.; three daughters, Lynda Bertrand and husband, Ferran of Pineville, Sheila Woerner and husband, David of Baton Rouge, and Christine Baker and husband, Damon of Carencro; one brother, Sebastien Vidrine of Ville Platte; one sister, Eloise Ardoin of Houston, Tx.; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Armide Vidrine.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, June 15, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
