VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Ryan Fontenot, 19, announces his passing on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Acadian Medical Center of Eunice. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow at the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Romero will be officiating all services.
A loving son, stepson, grandson, brother and friend, Ryan is survived by his father, Joseph Roland Fontenot and stepmother, Jessica Fontenot, of Vidrine, his mother Gwendolyn Fontenot of Ville Platte, his maternal grandmother, Leana Deville Gauthier of Ville Platte, his brother Jonathan Keith Fontenot of Scott and his stepbrother, Hunter Joseph Manuel of Vidrine. Ryan also leaves behind a host of other family members and countless friends.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Roland and Mary Janell Fontenot, his maternal grandfather, Joseph Alide Deville and his maternal stepfather, Bootsy Gauthier they all await his arrival with open arms.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM that evening and resuming Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.
