VILLE PLATTEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of J. Norman Dupre, 49 announces his passing on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Belaire Cove Chapel at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal will follow in the Belaire Cove Cemetery with Father Tremie as Celebrant.
A loving father, son and friend to all, Norman leaves behind his devoted companion, Cristy Charqualaf of Ville Platte, three sons, Josh Dupre, Isiah Dupre and Jacob Dupre, his father and stepmother, Winnis and Melda Dupre of Plaisance, his brother Tim and his wife, Celeste of Baton Rouge and his God mother, Rita Fontenot of Belaire Cove. He was also blessed with seven stepsisters. Mr. Dupre was a long time employee at Teets Food Store and also Ortegos Food Lane he will be sadly missed by both his fellow employees, employers and all who were lucky enough to have known him personally.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabris Fontenot. She awaits his arrival with a full heart and open arms.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM.
