Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Freddy Lafleur, Sr., 57, will be held Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mr. Lafleur, a resident of Ville Platte, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 4:35 a.m. at his residence following a long illness. He was the owner of Freddies Bar and Lafleurs Frame and Body Shop in Ville Platte.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Lafleur of Ville Platte; four sons, Chad Lafleur of St. Martinville, Peter Lafleur of Baton Rouge, Josh Lafleur of Ville Platte, and David Lafleur of Ville Platte; two daughters, Megan Lafleur of Ville Platte and Denise Roberts of Livingston; one brother, Jeffery Lafleur of TX; and nine grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ezuare and Pete Lafleur; one daughter, Daiquiri Guy; and a sister, Labertha Lafleur.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
