br Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph JY Fontenot, 60 announces his passing on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Ville Platte Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery with Fr. Gene Tremie Celebrant.br A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, JY will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Norma Tooty Gotreaux Fontenot of Ville Platte; one son, Stacy Paul Fontenot of Ville Platte; five daughters, Mrs. Dexter Vicky Lednier of Morse, Mrs. Keith Belinda Fontenot of Ville Platte, Mrs. Howard Jessie Taylor of Mamou, Michelle Renee Fontenot of Ville Platte, and Amy Celeste Fontenot of Ville Platte; one sister, Bernadine McMillan of Ville Platte; and thirteen grandchildren.br He is preceded in death by his parents, Polite and Genevieve Fontenot; a son, Joseph Scott Fontenot, two brothers, Hubert Fontenot and Herbert Fontenot; and a sister, Gloria Vidrine.br The family request that visiting hours be observed Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, December 31, 2009 from 8:00 a.m until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.br
