Joseph Wayne Forman, (76), of Bayou Chicot, Louisiana, passed away on June 23, 2023. Wayne was born to Joe and Beulah Forman on September 23, 1946. He grew up with a deep passion for country music and playing guitar. This ultimately led him to the love of his life, Peggy. The couple would go on to have success as songwriters, having songs recorded by artists such as Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, and George Strait. Additionally, Wayne spent 17 years as a dedicated employee for the Evangeline Parish Sherriff’s office.
Aside from music, Wayne’s other passions were hunting and competing in AKC beagle field trials. Through the years, he trained multiple field trial champions.
Wayne lived his life leaning on his strong faith in God. He often carried out random acts of kindness, with no expectation of reward.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy, his daughter, Cyndi and her wife, Danielle, along with his granddaughter, Skylar. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Beulah.
