VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Joseph Huey Foret, age 86, announces his passing on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum with Father Tom Voorhies as celebrant.
Huey was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Knights of Columbus, council #1754, and was a Veteran of Foreign Wars.
A loving husband, brother and friend, Joseph will be missed by his loving wife of 61 years Mercedes Soileau Foret of Ville Platte, brother, Harold Foret and wife Lucille Moreau of Ville Platte, sister, Joycelyn Foret Lee of Opelousas and sister in law, Faye F. Foret of Ville Platte .
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Orise and Adile Pitre Foret and his brother, James Byron Foret.
At the request of the Foret family, a visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 2 PM until 9 PM and again on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in Mr. Foret's honor on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 6 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, La.
