VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Joseph Derbes Daire, 71, announces his passing on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will take place Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will be in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Rev. Kevin West officiating services.
A kind and loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Joseph will be greatly missed by his wife of 28 years Jane Daire of Ville Platte, his son Bryan Matthew Daire of Houston, Texas, his stepson Bryan Keith Bordelon and wife Tina of Bayou Chicot, three brothers Delouis Daire of Tate Cove, John L Doc Daire of Ville Platte, and Kerron Daire of St. Landry, three sisters Versie Lafleur of Ville Platte, Ethel Darby of Opelousas, and Gladys Darby of Opelousas, and two granddaughters Tori and Breana Bordelon of Bayou Chicot.
He is preceded in death by his parents Derbes and Omerine Daire, his brother Marvin Daire, and his sister Pauline Rape.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM. Visitation will also be held at First Baptist Church on Monday from 1:00 PM until time of service.
