Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Pierre Catoire, 76, will be held Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 2pm in St. Peters Catholic Church in Pine Prairie. Burial will follow in the St. Peter Cemetery. Fr. Richard Broussard will officiate the services.

Mr. Catoire, a resident of Pine Prairie, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 in the Prairie Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include a son, James Catoire of Pine Prairie; a step son, John Earl Wedlock of Belaire Cove; two daughters, Judy Miller of Ville Platte and Pauline Jenkins of New Iberia; two step daughters, Fannie W. Sonnier of Baton Rouge and Dianna W. Rogers of Mamou; a sister, Mary Ethel Vidrine of Mamou; twenty five grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2006 in St. Peters Catholic Church from 11am until time of services on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Friday.

Mr. Catoire is preceded in death by his wife, Grace Latoilais Catoire and a son, Pierre Catoire, Jr.
