Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Calvin Kayan will be held Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 1pm in the Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

Mr. Soileau, a resident of Ville Platte and having retired from Cleco, died Friday, October 26, 2007 at 10:15am following a long illness at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Ora Ella H. Soileau; four sons, Gary W. Soileau and wife, Dean, J.D. Soileau and wife, Glenna, and Todd Soileau and wife, Yvette; one daughter, Debra S. Fontenot and husband, Jimmy; one sister, Druella S. Veillon; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Durel and Blanche Bordelon Soileau and siblings, Laura Mae Logan, Audrey S. Miller, Nellie Staffa, Lionel Soileau, and Bryon Soileau.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 10am until 9pm and on Sunday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Saturday.
