It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bradley Barzare, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 22, 1953, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, Bradley was a man deeply connected to his roots, his family, and the great outdoors that he cherished so deeply. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 am with a Rosary being prayed at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Bradley cultivated his love for the great outdoors from a young age. His passion for boating and fishing on the Bayous and rivers of Louisiana was unwavering, and he was a dedicated member of Miller's Lake Hunting Club since 1990, where he served as caretaker for three years. Bradley was known for his exceptional ability to connect with people, often striking up conversations about anything and everything. He had a profound love for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherished the time spent with them.
In addition to his family life, Bradley enjoyed playing cards, partaking in weekly games at Donny's, and had a penchant for the excitement of horse racing. He was well-versed in Cajun French, embracing his rich cultural heritage with pride. His favorite drink, shared with laughter and friends, was Evan Williams whiskey.
Bradley will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kay Barzare, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage of 48 years. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Brooke Brown and her husband Jimmie, Casey Ramus, and their son Brad Barzare Jr., who is engaged to Leah Guidry. His legacy continues through his seven adored grandchildren—Brittany Brown Manuel and her husband Sylis, Bryce Brown and his fiancé Kaylee Abshire, Morgan Ramus, Carson Ramus, Raquel Ramus, Victor Ramus, and Bradley Barzare III and Olivia Barzare—all of whom brought immense joy to his life, as well as his two cherished great-grandchildren, Remi Manuel and Laken Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge Barzare and EnaRoy Deshotel Barzare, as well as his sisters, Theresa Morein and Paulette Barzare.
