John Robley Veillon

John Robley Veillon, born on Thursday, September 6, 1945, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in Marrero, Louisiana at the age of 79. He was a cherished member of his family known for his dedication and passion throughout his life.

Robley’s career as a bookkeeper and security guard demonstrated his commitment to hard work. Beyond his professional life, Robley had a vibrant personality enriched by a variety of hobbies and interests. He found joy in playing the lottery and visiting casinos, where he embraced the thrill of chance. Additionally, he took pleasure in collecting recipes and cookbooks. His affection for cats was a testament to his nurturing spirit, as these beloved pets often brought warmth and companionship into his life.

John leaves behind a loving family, including his sister, Beulah Dupre and her husband, James, as well as his brother, Wallace Veillon and his wife, Emma. He was also adored by many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hillary and Lena Fontenot Veillon and his siblings, Roland, Joyce, Marjory, and Harry Veillon.
