Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of John Bernard Thomas, 56 announces his passing on Sunday, May 2, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Fr. Mario Romero Celebrant.
A loving father, son, brother, and grandfather, John will be lovingly remembered by his four daughters, Lori Askey and husband Larry of Opelousas, Liza Fontenot of Baton Rouge, Lanie Ledoux and husband, Kris of Ville Platte, and Lindsey Thomas of Baton Rouge his parents, Eli and Sarah Thomas of Ville Platte one brother, Allen Thomas of Moreauville, La one sister, Madalyn Foret of Luling, La and two grandchildren, Caden Askey and Harley Ducan.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Eli Dobbie Thomas.
The family request visiting hours to be observed Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
