VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sadness that the family of John Cary J.C. Manuel, 53, announces his passing on June 28, 2011 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the M.B. Fontenot Cemetery with Brother Roger Whittington officiating.

A loving husband, brother, uncle and friend, J. C.s memory will be cherished by his beloved wife, Melissa Smith Manuel of Ville Platte his three sisters, Grace Hudson and her companion for many years, Billy Rich of Ville Platte, Sherry Menard and husband, Floyd of Eunice and Bobbie Bordelon and husband, Earl, also of Eunice and one brother, Harold Manuel and wife, Marilyn of Ville Platte. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom he adored. Mr. Manuel was a dedicated sports fan his favorite teams were the L.S.U. Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. He lived a full life and enjoyed many activities such as gardening, hunting, and watching wrestling. He also had special place in his heart for all animals. Anyone who knew him would say his real love was his beloved family, especially his nieces and nephews.

He now rests in Heaven with his parents Cary and Alice Bordelon Manuel.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and again on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 8:00 AM until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM by Deacon David Guillory.
