VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 29, 2018 for John Ellis Foret, 75, who passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Savoy Medical Center.

Kenneth Huval will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot, LA.

John Ellis Forest was born on December 25, 1942 in Ville Platte, LA to Joseph Lucius Foret and Leza Guillory Foret.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Ardoin Foret of Ville Platte; two daughters, Julie Foret Huval and husband Kenneth of Ville Platte and Kristi Fontenot of Ville Platte; one son, John Isaac Foret of Ville Platte; six grandchildren, Hannah, William, Madeline, Karissa, John Silas and Allyssa; one sister, Lena Foret of Ville Platte; two brothers, Andrew Gladney Foret of Ville Platte and Gerald Clyde Foret and wife Penny of San Antonio, TX; and close family friend, Toby Fontenot.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James "Jim" Foret.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
