Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. John Ellis Vidrine, 72, will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 4pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Josh Guillory will officiate the services.

Mr. Vidrine, a resident of Ville Platte, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at his residence following a long illness.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather he is survived by his wife, Gloria Fontenot Vidrine of Ville Platte; a son, Randy Vidrine and wife, Penny of Ville Platte; one brother, Everette Vidrine of Port Barre; four sisters, Annabelle Deville of Mamou, Theresa Soileau of Ville Platte, Berndine Fontenot of Chataignier, and Mary Ann Vidrine of Ville Platte; and one step grandchild, Ashley Bergeron of Ville Platte.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elford and Elizabeth Vidrine.

Family request that visiting hours be observed from 11am until 10pm on Monday, February 18, 2008 and on Tuesday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm.
