Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Drue Dailey, 59 announces her passing on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Ville Platte Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte with Bro. Roger Whittington officiate.

A loving companion, mother, sister, and grandmother, Joan will be lovingly remembered by her companion, Alfred James of Turkey Creek; two daughters, Rebecca Jane Tipton of Lafayette and Heather Tipton Stringer and husband, Michael Todd of Sumrall, Ms; two sisters, Sherrita Hannons of Oklahoma City, Ok and Amzie Fortson of Tecumseh, Ok; and two grandchildren, Miranda Jeanmard and Emily Jeanmard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Dailey and Wilma Shaw Burns; a sister, Glenda Kee; a brother, Tommy Burns; and a grandchild, Jonathan Hunter Tipton.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
