Ville Platte A wonderful husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Jimmy Fontenot who will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him died on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. He was 63. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery with Fr. Mario Romero Celebrant.
Jimmy was a welder for Union Tank Company and in his spare time he enjoyed riding horses and being outdoors. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Debra Manuel Fontenot of Ville Platte one son, Scott Fontenot of Bayou Chicot two daughters, Jennifer McDaniel and husband, Danny of Ville Platte and Mandy Fontenot and husband, Jason of Turkey Creek one brother, John Carlton Fontenot and wife, Lisa of Brian, Tx one sister, Lucille Molnoskey and husband, of Louis of Gonzales, Tx and three grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Samuel Fontenot, and Logan Cole Fontenot.
Now he rest in Heaven with his parents, Joseph Dallas and Ludy Fontenot and a brother, Russell Fontenot.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, August 9, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited Monday evening time at 6:30 p.m.
