VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Jessie Mae Fontenot announces his passing on Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Ville Platte he was 87 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte Rite of Committal will follow in the M. B. Fontenot Cemetery. Fr. Joshua Guillory will officiate the services.
Jessie will be mourned by his two devoted sistersinlaw: Lou Fontenot and Gussie Fontenot, both of Ville Platte. He was known and befriended by many from his years of service as janitor at the Evangeline Parish Court House.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his wife, Prudence Fontenot and his parents, Linsey and Joycey Pitre Fontenot. They most certainly await his arrival with joyous hearts and open arms.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning Tuesday, February 05, 2013 at 3:00 PM and will continue until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM Wednesday morning and continue until the time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in his honor Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM.
