VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Jeanette Lewis, 52, announces her passing on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in Buna, Texas. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Ardoins Funeral Home. Rite of committal will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Barry Trindell.

Jeanette was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jeanette will be lovingly missed by her parents Edwin Prather Sr. and Jenora of Lake Charles, her son Hubert Prather of Buna, Texas, her daughter Dana Ortego of Pine Prairie, her sisters Gwendolyn Droody of Buna , Texas, and Martha Trahan of Lake Charles, and nine grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Suire, grandparents Nora Alida Broussard and Aaron Bertha Prather, one sister Cheyrl Loorey, two brothers Edwin Prather Jr. and Keith Wayne Prather, two sons Joseph Edwin Ortego, Keith Wayne Ortego, and one daughter Brandy Vickers.

The family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, November 27, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
