Jean Ortego

VILLE PLATTE It is with heavy hearts, that the family of Jean Ezel Ortego , 93, announces his passing on Monday, July 1, 2013 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at The Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery with Fr. Joshua Guillory as Celebrant.
Mr. Ortego leaves behind his only son, Dr. Terryl Ortego and his wife, Shannon, of Fayetteville, Arkansas. His memory will most certainly be cherished by his three granddaughters: Lauren Ortego of Columbus, Missouri, Lindsay Ortego and Madeline Ortego, both of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his beloved wife, Anna Foret Ortego, his parents, Ferdnand and Maise Fuselier Ortego and his siblings, Marius Ortego and Marie O. Soileau. Their reunion will surely be a joyous occasion where he will be welcomed with open arms and joyous hearts.
Mr. Ortegos family would like to give thanks to all of his devoted caregivers: Dot Estilette, Diane Blood, Kayla Blood, Nursey LeDay, Kathy Miller and Crystal Charlie. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, at 302 Main St. Mamou, La. 70554, in memory of Jean Ezel Ortego.
