Funeral services for Mr. J.C. Fontenot, 77, were held Monday, November 27, 2006 at 1pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate the services.

Mr. Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, died Friday, November 24, 2006 in Ville Platte Medical Center at 11:15pm.

Survivors include his wife, Verlin Reed Fontenot of Ville Platte; two daughters, Sharon Fontenot Fripp of Ellaville, Ga and Paula Fontenot Whittington of Ville Platte; a sister, Priscilla Guillory of Dallas, Tx; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Sunday, November 26, 2006 from 2pm until 10pm and on Monday from 8am until time of services. A rosary was recited at 6:30pm on Sunday.

His is preceded in death by a son, Dennis Wayne Fontenot and his parents, Deah and Edna Fontenot.
