Janice Cormier

VILLE PLATTE - A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church in Grand Prairie on Saturday, April 21, 2018 for Janice "Jan" Faye Soileau Cormier who passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 in New Orleans.

Jan, along with her husband Gerald, owned and operated Janice Cormier Contracting, LLC. She took great pride in the building homes for families to enjoy. She was deeply respected by her clients, sub-contractors, and vendors. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family. She loved to cook. During her free time, she enjoyed shopping with Amy and Taylor.

Janice is survived by her husband of 33 years, Gerald Cormier, Jr., daughter Amy LaFleur and her husband Paul along with their daughter, Taylor Nicole. She will also be deeply missed by her step-son Earl Cormier and wife Melissa, their children Courtney Blinn and Ashley Cormier, and their grandchildren Mckinley and Avery Blinn. Also left behind to cherish her memory are step-grandchildren Joshua LaFleur and Jordan LaFleur, and step-great grandchildren Paisley LaFleur, Jaxson LaFleur, and Macie LaFleur. She leaves behind her brother Donald Soileau, and sisters Paula LaFleur, Patricia Fontenot, and Terrie Ortego.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Annie Soileau, brother David Soileau, and sisters Charlene Leger and Beverley Fontenot.
