Funeral services for Mrs. Janelle Pitre, 60, will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 2pm in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Fr. Kevin Bordelon and Fr. Randall Moreau will officiate the services.

Mrs. Pitre, a resident of Ville Platte and a native of Opelousas, died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at 5:50pm in Opelousas General Hospital. She was a teachers aid for 10 years at Chataignier School.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Pitre, Jr. of Ville Platte; a son, David B. Pitre and wife, Jodie H. of West Monroe; two daughters, Jenny Ortego and husband, Scott of Ville Platte and Gwen Landreneau and husband, Kevin of Ville Platte; four brothers, Ervin Bordelon and wife, Ruth of Ville Platte, Laris Bordelon of Opelousas, Ray Bordelon and wife, Pat of Vidrine, and Ernest Bordelon and wife, Jean of Bayou Chicot; four grandchildren, Dustin Reed, Allison Reed, Lauren Ortego, and Daniel Ortego and two step grandchildren, Brock Landreneau and Ryan Landreneau.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elter and Della Bordelon.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 4, 2006 from 2pm until 10pm and on Tuesday from 7am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Monday.
