She was a very persistent and courageous person which was the reason she was able to battle Polio and survive. Janella graduated from Ville Platte High School and Southern University where she studied elementary education. During her 33 years as a teacher at Ville Platte Elementary, Janella inspired many young people to achieve their dreams. She was also a proud recipient of the MLK award. Janella was a very devout Catholic; she was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, member of many prayer groups, and was dedicated to praying the rosary several times a day. In her free time, Janella enjoyed shopping. Although she led a very active life, Janella always had time for her family, who she was devoted to beyond measure. She is now at home in Heaven watching over those she loved.
