Though he has left this earth, his legacy lives through the tales he wove of his passion of hunting, fishing, and camping that began as a young boy. A passion he shared with his children, grandchildren, and other family including his childhood friend, James Aguillard. It was his greatest pleasure having them accompany him on many of his adventures. He was a loving, devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend that attended as many school activities and ball games as he possibly could. He was the best Dad and Gramps and will be dearly missed.
Those left to mourn and cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Eura Landreneau Vidrine and their five children: daughter, Dephanie Vidrine son, Adam and wife Keither Smith Vidrine daughter, Danyelle and husband, Bubba Reed daughter, Nina and husband, Kent Fontenot, all of Ville Platte and daughter, Sydia and husband Joseph Hamlin of Houston, Texas, ten grandchildren, and his mother, Ena.
The Vidrine family wishes to extend many thanks to Father Gene Tremie of Sacred Heart Church Father Mario Romero of Our Lady Queen of All Saints Deacon Gene Lebouef LTac of Mamou Dr. Phil Fontenot, Dr. Brent Ardoin, Dr. Chuck Aswell, Dr. Chuck Monier, Dr. Eduardo Alvarez, Dr. Marcel LaHaye, Dr. Brandon Fontenot and all of their staff and nurses Ville Platte General Hospital, Ville Platte Home Health, Louisiana Hospice Mamou, and all of their nurses and staff his many sitters and caregivers who provided him great care and compassion throughout his illness to all the family and friends for their prayers, love and support and special thanks to Dr. Greg Ardoin.
