Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Jimbo Smith, 44 announces his passing on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will be held in M.B. Fontenot Cemetery in Ville Platte with Fr. Clinton Sensat Celebrant.
A loving husband, father, son, and brother, Jimbo will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Charlotte Ann Ortego Smith of Ville Platte two sons, Kaleb Smith and his wife, Allison and Jade Smith both of Ville Platte one daughter, Sydney Smith of Ville Platte his mother and step father, Wanda Fontenot Berzas and husband, Kenneth one sister, Angie Smith of Ville Platte and a sisterinlaw, Lisa James of Ville Platte.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jeffery Smith, Jr.
The family request that visiting hours to be observed Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
