It is with great sadness that the family of James Darrel Sebastien, 57, announces his passing on Friday, June 3, 2011. A Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie with Rite of Committal to follow in the St. Andrews Cemetery in Plaisance.
A loving friend, son, father, brother, and grandfather, Darrels memory will be cherished by his significant other of fifteen years, Pamela Bertrand of Opelousas, his mother Icy Mae Sebastien of Port Barre, one son Jacob Sebastien of Plaissance, three daughters Michelle Sebastien of Plaissance, Angela Baldassaro and husband Daigo of Amite, Ashley Sebastien of Eunice, three sisters Rita Stelly of Port Barre, Phyllis Thibodeaux of Ville Platte, Shannon Rouse of Lewisburg and four grandchildren Rickie Fontenot, Landon Baldassaro, Emma Baldassaro, and Madelyn Smith.
He now rests in Heaven with his father Gilbert Sebastien Jr., his brother David Sebastien, and his sister Melinda Sebastien.
At the request of the family, visitation will be at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 10:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 6:00 PM.
