Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of James Landreneau, 57 announces his passing on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery. A Mass will be said in his memory on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
To his friends he was known as Theo, but to his family he was known as Jimmy. Jimmy enjoyed discussing politics and always had an opinion. His two interest in life were astronomy and was an avid chess player, he could always acknowledge that his computer was his greatest adversary. Jimmy was a loving son and brother,who will be lovingly remembered by his father, Theo Landreneau of Ville Platte one brother, Robert Landreneau and wife, Anne Boisuert of Arnaudville and several cousins and friends.
He now rest in Heaven with his mother, Ruby Marie Landreneau maternal grandmother, Meldia Vidrine and his paternal grandmother, Marie Landreneau.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
