Ville Platte-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 for James Louis Dupre at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie with Father Richard Broussard as Celebrant.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 years Dorothy "June" Dupre of Pine Prairie; two sons, Robert James Dupre and Paul Anthony Dupre both of Pine Prairie; two brothers, Pete Dupre of Lafayette and Charles Dupre of Denver, Colorado and three sisters, Theresa Gibson of Baton Rouge, Mary Burleson of Santa Fe New Mexico and Yvonne Vidrine of Ville Platte; two grandchildren, Jessica Vidrine and Robert John Dupre and three great-grandchildren, Delton Paul Vidrine, David James Vidrine and Madison Bree Vidrine.
Mr. James will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Hampton and Myrtle Dupre, one son, David John Dupre, three brothers, Hampton L. Dupre, Joseph Dupre and Morley Dupre and one sister, Ann Dupre . They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
James was a Veteran of the United States Air Force having served for 20 Years.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:oo p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
